After visiting Kelham Island Museum a local pint of ale was required. Good choice of real ales. Friendly staff and excellent pork pies. A true Yorkshire welcome .

Visited here just before seeing The Who at Sheffield Arena. What a little gem of a pub, the barman was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the beers. It's a good ole traditional real ale pub, very cosy too. Being a dark ale drinker, don't always get the beer choices I prefer, but here we had a choice of two.... More

This is how pubs used to be , good beer , good food and very comfortable. You are not hindered by loud music , karaoke or Sky football, you can sit and chat with ease with your friends. I love the Belgium cherry beer here and on a couple of occasions we have had a hot meal which is very... More

If only all pubs were like this. Great real ale, homely, no trappings of 21c pubs - music, gaming machines, etc. Bleedy 'ansome and proper.

Popped in with the wife on a mini pub crawl. Couldn't decide which beer to have as the range is so vast, will not disappoint. Coupled with the best pork pies in sheffield!

So, our friend, being a bit drunk and inappropriate, picked 2 flowers from a bouquet on his way out. Wrong, agreed, and for that we are sorry. So after our drunk friend left who was celebrating his birthday, the barman appeared that had already berated our leaving friend and said "You can go and all..." nice, after you've spent £70+... Despite it being a long walk from where I live, I do enjoy frequent visits to the Kelham Island Tavern, as it is an absolutely marvellous pub on the edge of Sheffield City Centre. They always have a wide selection of predominantly local ales, all at a very good price (most are below the £3 mark). The premises is not... More

Excellent little pub in the Kelham Island part of the city. Good beer selection and very nice interior. For such a well known pub you might expect it not to feel like a locals place, but its got just that vibe! Great atmosphere and beer, must go
