Really well cooked food. Sadly pretty empty so not much atmosphere, but the waiter was lovely and the food really was delicious. We had seared salmon with rosti, but the people sat next to us were raving over the curries.

Only just started up my tripadvisor but I came here about a year ago! I have coeliac disease and was so excited to find they offered gluten free. I ordered the chicken mayo sandwich, only to be approached by the young waiter who said “the...mayo has a little bit of gluten in is that okay?” Well obviously not! My body would attack itself! I hate that coeliac disease is not taken as seriously as a nut allergy. Would you ask someone who was allergic to nuts if it was okay if there dish contained some nuts? No! So I just had a chicken sandwich without mayo with chips for about £9.More

We called for a pot of tea & were met with a nice smile & a warm welcome. There is a room to the right of the main door that welcomes four legged friends & we sat there in relative comfort in a warm environment. The...meals looked tempting & there is a varied menu to consider. Evening meals in the week are from 5pm.More

It felt a little unorganised upon arrival and the staff seemed busy. We sat at our table and I liked the special napkins on the table and the free Prosecco for my mum. It was a nice touch. However, I had to walk to the...bar to ask for someone to take our food order which they were apologetic about and came right over. The dish I asked for was unavailable which I wasn’t told at the time of ordering. We both had a version of a roast diner which was small with no real flavour and nothing special about it to be honest. It was underwhelming. My mum asked for shoulder of lamb which we both assumed would be something more magnificent than 3 thin slices of meat. Desert was average, I asked for a warm chocolate brownie which arrived half melted which had solidified again. I didn’t finish it as it was dry. My mums cheesecake came out half melted which we complained about which was replaced with a cold one. The building was really pretty and the beer garden looks great for the summer and the staff were friendly but I wouldn’t eat here again it was disappointing.More

Visited with my parents for my Fathers birthday. Atmosphere was lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had Sunday lunch and it was lovely. Steaming hot and tasty. Good selection of veg with the Roast lunch. Will be visiting again.

We went today intending to order lunch we were 4 adults and a miniature schnauzer. Their website suggest the pub is 'dog friendly' with a dedicated area with wooden floor. This area is a 'corridor' cramped and dirty with a sliding door a terrible and...impractical area. There was a family in there too. We hadn't been 'walking' and so weren't bringing in mud from country walking so couldn't understand what is pub policy. There were 3 other cars in the car park suggesting the pub wasn't busy and that was certainly the case there would have been room to easily seat us elsewhere in the pub. We didn't stay!Disappointing to say the least.More

Small rectangular shape with a small bar & comfortable. It was warm on the day we called. Just on the right of main door.
