We had the best time at the Angel and Harlequin Bistro for our wedding reception. Absolutely amazing food which was echoed by every guest there. The staff was amazing and couldn't do enough for us, perfection 👌
I syopeed off for a quick lunch and had the warm goat's cheese salad. It arrived in minutes and was most delish. The staff are really friendly and cannot do enough for you, plus there's a great choise of cask ales too.
PS the fruit...cake and coffee is well worth finding space for.More
We had a wonderful family meal. The quality of food and drinks was superb, and the restaurant has a very pleasant airy ambiance. Above all, the service, care and consideration from the staff was exemplary. Thank you.
We visited for an early supper. The food is fantastic. Much more imaginative than your standard gastro pub.
All three dishes our party had well raves about.
This all comes with very warm and hospitable service and nice decor and environment.
Well done to the...ream and worth popping off the M1 of you are about.More

Thank you for your kind review, you taking the time to leave us such positive feedback is greatly appreciated. Hopefully see you again soon.
Meal arrived and I honestly thought they had mistaken my order (mushroom carbonara) for a starter pasta dish. It was so small that I (and I am not a big eater), and my daughter who is 19 and also a small eater- were left feeling...hungry. This starter dish - because that is actually what it was - cost us £11. My husband had belly pork at £17. We waited for some sort of accompanying vegetables to arrive because at £17 I would expect a reasonable amount of food - and nothing happened for some while. We realised that what he had on his VERY LARGE yet Empty looking plate, was it.
So the food is nice here- but don’t expect to come away full if you only have a main. We had a starter - but that was also very small. I would go back, when the owners sort portion sizing out . Pasta is very cheap, steamed vegetables cost pennies and bread could have masked the penury in some way.More

Thank you for visiting Angel & Harlequin.
I am surprised to read your comments, I will look into what you have said.
Stumbled across this hidden gem when looking for somewhere to go with friends. Beautifully cooked food, great drink selection and a sweet tooth’s dream of a desert menu. My favourite was the sticky toffee pudding. We will definitely be going back.
Really enjoyed our visit. Service was fast and friendly, the food was presented very nicely and tasted amazing. I had wild mushroom carbonara and it was fresh pasta which was great.
Drinks were very good, especially the cocktails. Will definitely visit again.
I love this bistro. Visited twice this week. The food is always beautiful and the staff cannot do enough for you. For a weekend treat you must sample the prosecco brunch. Special mention to the marvellous Marianne x
