We had the two steaks and a bottle of wine for £40.00 deal, should have stuck to a burger which I think was more the level.

Thank you for rather rude review. We buy high quality and locally sourced food and prepare it in our FSA five star rated kitchen by experienced senior chefs. Perhaps it's a matter of taste? More

New owners have made the pub very comfortable and welcoming. Loads of space outside in the beer garden, but not accessible for wheelchair users as there are lots of steps. Inside look out for the small animal paintings that pop up all over the place. Food excellent quality and price. Service excellent.

Stayed one night at Cromwells whilst on overnight stay in Shrewsbury. Quaint old Inn in the town centre .No parking but there is an overnight NCP car park down the hill (£10) for 24 hours ..may not be ideal for people with mobility issues .Hotel was lovely and staff were friendly and helpful .Bed was very comfy and breakfast was... We were shown to a corner table in the restaurant area, not in the bar and were given menus. After a short while the waitress returned to ask if we wanted a drink and I pointed out she had omitted to provide the wine list. She corrected this and we ordered wine. She returned shortly for our order and we... More

When you publish that our food is poor it naturally requires a serious response. We serve over 35,000 customers a year and I don't think we would be in business long if your comment was true. Mistakes can be made but I believe your comment is undeserving. Having read your other 'reviews' it would appear that you generally have issues... More

We visited Cromwell s on a lovely sunny day and as we arrived early in the lunch time we were lucky to have a nicely placed table in the garden. My sister and I arrived first and received good service. My daughter then arrived with her baby daughter in a pram and her 8 year old daughter. She ordered drinks... More

I stayed here last weekend with friends and my husband overnight. We really enjoyed the food and drinks in the pub and found it to be good value and quality. The offer on a Friday night of cocktails for £4 was excellent. We were not really expecting high quality cocktails for that price, but they were great, especially the espresso... More

Great wine bar, good range of wine and food. The atmosphere is buzzy and fun. Great service and a lovely garden area.

Excellent main course but was served a burn tart for pudding. Staff offered an alternative dish as we sent it back but as nothing tempted..

When in Shrewsbury I always call in at Cromwells, mainly because of its lovely sun drenched decks on several levels. However today's visit somewhat diluted by the off-hand reception by a member of female staff. Otherwise not a bad place in town centre.

Over the 8 years that I have lived in Shrewsbury I have praised this place and I guess that anyone can have a off day but today was spectacularly awful. Sunday 4.50 pm 3 covers in the restaurant and the outside terrace sparsely occupied. We ordered drinks which were forgotten for 15 minutes or so and then only came after... More
