My wife and I stumbled on Café Rouge one evening in Bath and were delighted with the meal we had there. The food was outstanding, particularly the charcuterie platter which had a wonderful selection of meats and cheeses. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The café feels very much like a Paris bistro, not fancy but welcoming.

While almost everywhere in Bath turns away solo diners on a Saturday evening, with mendacious comments like "we won't have anything until 10:30" while surrounded by empty table, Cafe Rouge was pleasantly endowed with a large number of empty tables and a warm welcome. The food is safe and satisfying, but formulaic. Once seated two large hen-parties of comically dressed... More

We visited here for Sunday afternoon cocktails. Pleasant service and good drinks although the selection wasn't that extensive. Prices ok too.

Arrived just before noon on a Sunday for lunch. Two of us went for the Sunday roast and our third chose salad nicoise. All three dishes were lovely, served hot and with a lovely presentation. We split a Creme brûlée and a salted Carmel parfait with and a black pepper raspberry sorbet. Really good food and lovely service. Would definitely... More

The staff at cafe rouge went above and beyond to accommodate us this evening for a celebratory dinner, decorating the table on request and ensuring the evening was perfect for the happy couple. Steak with bernaise sauce was incredible and food was reasonably priced, with a good selection of desserts making it hard to decide which to chose. Many of... More

Enjoyed sharing platter to start followed by Beef Bourgignon and Burger. Good ambience and friendly staff but food somewhat overpriced without vouchers/deal.

A relaxed pleasant lunch in friendly surroundings with delightful staff. The food was delicious and the price reasonable. Karolina was looking after us and she was delightful.

Four of us stopped by for tea and coffee. Restaurant was quiet and staff were gathered chatting. Eventually served, but paying seemed to be a problem. Staff chatting at the counter just smiled and carried on chatting and ignoring our request for the bill. When we eventually got the bill two staff said that they could not take the payment.... More

A very enjoyable lunch, no rush, attended by Mario our waiter who made us most welcome. Plenty of seating in this fairly large restaurant.
