We had lunch today. Two courses. The mains were tiny, perhaps this is the definition of fine dining. The flavours were lovely but really - a main course consisting of a single cauliflower floret as the main attraction? Couldn't portion control stretch two...or three? The desserts were excellent. There must be vegetarians out there with healthy appetites for good food!

We've eaten here a few times and it never fails to absolutely delight. Every course is a perfectly conceived, beautifully presented journey of taste and texture. From the breads with the wonderful dips at the begining to the Jerusalum Artichoke (which made me want to take up residence) to the Beetroot and Dukkah, all the say to the stunningly wholesome... Went for the set menu, with "matching wines". The food was well flavoured, but the portions were tiny. The wine parings were clearly done by someone with no idea about wine. Even the most basic element of food and wine pairings, which is understanding the balance between the "weight" of the food and the weight (or body) of the wine... More

Tiny delicious portions, all the veggies were tasty, cooked very nicely and in many different ways even in the same dish, which was very interesting. The Jerusalem Artichokes were amazing, as well as the leek and potato (smoked potato cream, WOW) and cauliflower dish. After two courses and a shared side we were full, but still able to breath!! Service... More

This place knocked our socks off--even my meat-eating mother in law loved it. Beetroot in Dukkah and Polenta Fries and Cashew Cheese were outstanding. Lovely waitperson. Highest recommendations.

Such a joy to go somewhere for dinner and not have to feel compromised. Obviously not HUGE portions - but thats not what this place is about...its about quality food and fantastic service! ... and all cruelty free!!! Myself and my wife enjoyed it immensely.

I've been wanting to come here a while and stumbled across it by accident this evening with a friend and was pleasantly surprised at the price! Delicious food that didn't leave us horribly bloated and full but comfortably replete. Kev and the young lady who also served us was lovely and left us to it without abandoning us but also... More

The restaurant is quiet and friendly, both staff and other guests, with a fun ambience. Each course was fascinatingly complex in its flavours, as good as some Michelin places!

Amongst the best vegetarian meals we have ever had. Not only delicious but prepared beautifully and intricately with superb wine matches for each course.

Went to the Acorn for the first time this evening for our anniversary. Service and food was amazing... But it lacked the quantity I was expecting.. Especially for such a high price. If their portion size was bigger to reflect their price then it would get a 5*. Unfortunately.. Even after dessert my wife and I left a little bit... More
