We booked the Ring O Bells after a quick review of Trip Advisor. It is very handy for the station but parking is very limited (there are six spaces in the public car park in Widcombe and then the nearest is in the city centre. First impressions are great. There was a good choice of local beers and international wines.... More

Seem an awful lot of work has been going on backstage at The Ring O’ Bells recently. We took a peek at the refurbished cellar, and were duly impressed by its gleaming white vaulting and shiny new floor, off which I would willingly eat my dinner. Happily we didn’t have to do that as The Ring does a nice line... More

The Ring O Bells has long been a favourite of mine, but recently it has ascended to a higher echelon. Head Chef Dave Giddings is an exceptional chef, and though I live very nearby I choose to eat here because the quality of the food is outstanding. Unusual ingredients, creative flair, lovely presentation and fantastic flavours make for a dining... More

We selected this Pub for dinner based on the Tripadvisor reviews. This Pub exceeded our expectations. Food was fantastic as was the ambiance. The Bar Manager was great providing personalised service. Meal was great, we had the Pork with seasonal veg & potato which was cooked to perfection. Enjoyable evening.

An off chance visit en route a show and it was not a wasted evening as the tapas choice is very good and a great staff. A simple menu offering a good selection of tapas, time was limited so luckily service was good and the prawns, manchego cheese and calamari were all excellent as was the fresh salmon pate.

We live in Widcombe and are blessed with this gem of a pub/bistro. Constantly quality well cooked food by the head chef Dave. Love the Sunday Jazz & tapas (sadly not every week now).

We went Saturday evening, didn't have a starter as didn't want to fill up and not finish the main... We ordered the sharing steak, the meat was delicious, the potatoes were slightly too oily and there was definitely not enough vegetables for 2 people, in total 7 Chantilly carrots and 5 small pieces of Kale! The gravy was delicious! The... More
