Maybe this was just a bad day at the office when we chose to eat. The staff were friendly but lacking in oomph. The meal was average rather than a real treat.

We waltzed in early evening with just 2 people dining. We opted for three courses each. The bean soup was on the cool side of warm but we persevered, the mackerel pate lacked sufficient bread - 3 minute slivers. The minute steak, £2 surcharge, served with cold rosemary garlic butter on a warm steak is poor - we still persevered.... More

We had booked a table for 14 a family lunch and we were given a great table in an alcove. Plenty of space for the children to move around and not to disturb the other diners. Very friendly and knowlegable staff! We could order the children's food straight away - a Bonus! We ordered a mixture from the set menu... More

Very attentive and personable maitre'de! Restaurant was quite busy with quite an old clientele. Fixed price February menu on offer. Starter (Mackerel pate) was excellent. Main course (Sole) was very disappointing; served on the bone, had as much fish flesh as a single fish finger! Really disappointing despite the price!

In bath visiting our daughter who is at Uni there. Booked here as we had heard good things Didn't disappoint. The service was welcoming and friendly. The menu was good traditional French fare. I had the Hake in a Saffron and cream sauce which was excellent. My wife had the Mussels and though they didn't have enough garlic for her... More

We visited Brasserie Blanc on Saturday evening for dinner. We left it very late to try and book a table - very silly as clearly everywhere will be busy on a Saturday night!! I called BB first and spoke to a friendly girl on the front desk said if we walked in she would hopefully be able to squeeze us... More

Really impressed with this restaurant. We were two fairly difficult customers who needed a lot of variations to the set menu and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The pan fried trout with cauliflower was delicious and perfectly cooked - as was everything else that evening. We were surprised to find it was a chain of restaurants as... More

We had lunch there on 26 January. We were very impressed & will return. They had a special lunch menu in January which was remarkable value. The food & service were very very good. We will recommend it to friends.

The food was OK, but the restaurant lacks atmosphere, warmth and welcome. Other bistro chains like Bistrot Pierre have more engaging staff and a warmer welcome. They also provide good bread and complimentary water straight away, which is more authentically French.
