We stopped in the restaurant in the afternoon, but we were still able to order meals from the daily menu. Nice interior and friendly service.

Had a few days here with the dog. Great central location. Close to train and bus lines and a parking permit is supplied (at a small daily cost) if needed for directly parking right outside. Staff and proprietor very friendly and dog was made a fuss of by everyone with dog treats on the bar too. Food was very good... More

We had a lovely meal. Good value for money food given we were in the city center! House wine of a reasonable standard. Good intimate setting for a quiet meal.

Visited this Pub on a quiet Friday lunchtime in January. Only wanted a snack so we had the Fish Pie and a jacket potato with blue cheese and bacon. Both were excellent and helped by a lovely pint of Doom Bar. Very friendly bar staff. Great location just by the Pulteney bridge but down a side road.

Though tucked away in the back streets of bath by the Pultney Bridge we found the Rising Sun to be a typical pub/hotel good food, plesent atmosphere and attentive host. On the day we visited I took up the offer of a pie and a pint for £10 which I found to be delicious, hot and well presented along with... More

I went in to grab a burger and a drink. The staff were welcoming and the food went down well. It is a nice spot if you're looking for a quiet place to sit and relax.

We booked this nearly 10 months ago so we could visit the Christmas markets. What we hadn't realised is that this clashed with the Saracens rugby also being on so the whole town was heaving. Consequently parking was a nightmare and the hotel kindly made other arrangements for us which was really kind of them. Our rooms were spotlessly clean... More

We stayed recently for 2 nights b&b. Arrived ( in a torrential downpour!) prior to check in time, but our room was ready and we were made to feel very welcome. Comfy warm room. Quiet street and a couple of minutes to Pultney bridge - what a great location! A really good cooked breakfast each morning . Norman ,our host,... More

On arrival, we weren't welcomed in a friendly manner and didn't seem as if they wished to interact with us. We weren't told any information about the B&B just given the keys and permit for the car. We had planned our whole day around the restaurant providing food from 6-9. Having gone down to place and order for food we... More

Thank you for comments and we are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay.
