Elegant, relaxing venue. Welcoming and efficient staff. We very much enjoyed coffee and cookies here and would certainly return, perhaps also for a meal

Lovely location for a celebration meal, the staff are very friendly and personable. The menu has something for everyone. The Tomahawk Steak was amazing. The restaurant was very comfortable and contemporary and the wine list was also very good. Looking forward to a return visit.

Staying at the Bedford Lodge Hotel for my partners birthday. This hotel restaurant is in a lovely ambient relaxing setting. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive. The food (Fillet Steaks for main) was beautifully prepared and accompanied by one of the best sauces (Blue Cheese)...More

Dined there the other evening with my wife and a friend. Bill including service was £203. Food is distinctly average and looks nothing like the photos on the hotel's website. It sounds great when reading from the menu. I can only think that the head...More

We were greatly looking forward to lunch here, having lived in the area sometime and never quite managing to go. I reserved a table for 12.30 and a pleasant young man showed us in to the restaurant at 12.25, only to then tell us it...More

We dine out regularly from family owned restaurants to brassieres and fine dining and our taste in food is eclectic. The a la carte menu looked interesting but the expectation was not executed in flavours and service. One of the 4 starters was cold so...More

I haven't been here for several years. The restaurant has been tastefully redecorated, but I can't say that sitting in low armchairs is my preferred style of seat for fine dining. Service, food and presentation very good, as expected. They even picked up on it...More

Squires Restaurant at Bedford Lodge Hotel has undergone a stunning refurbishment and menu overhaul. The walls are adorned with carefully selected pieces of art mostly conducive of still life which bring the artistic decor into being. The vibrant colour scheme of rich raspberry and subtle lime combined with the amazing food, make for a charismatic ambience, especially during the evening when the lights are dimmed and the lanterns are glowing. This intimate restaurant is perfectly suited for long, leisurely chats over a bottle of choice Sauvignon or other pickings from the vineyards of France, Italy and the New World. The expertly selected wine list is enhanced by the eclectic menus and delectable selection of dishes. Whether it’s business or pleasure, a light lunch with friends or romantic dinner for two, Squires Restaurant is a recipe for success. Staff who aim to please, chefs who deliver and management who know how to manage... the ‘proof is in the pudding’, as they say.
