Have dined here a couple of times. Really relaxed but professional atmosphere. Staff friendly and efficient.
My friend had a tempura starter which looked delicious and we shared the mixed grill which was really well cooked and very tasty.
I have eaten here on a number of occasions and I absolutely love it. Great menu choices. The food is always amazing! Porterhouse in my opinion does the best Sunday dinner in Newcastle. The service is great always made to feel very welcome. The staff...are friendly and are very helpful.
I have also bought meat from the butcher counter. I buy our Christmas dinner meat from here every year. The staff are always great at giving advice and making suggestions on how to prep at home. It's one of my favourites in the city and I will continue to eat here ❤️.More
I visited on a chance to get some decent lunch for a reasonable price, but what i received for £17 was small and ridiculously over priced fir what you receive. You get better value elsewhere. Don't go to a place just because it's under a...fancy label like fenwick.More
A bit disappointed, we were expecting a steak restaurant however we had to search through a shopping centre to find the place. Even though we booked a table we ended being placed at the bar. We bought a sharing platter for £120 but because we...sat at the bar we struggling to share it, unless you were in the middle you couldn’t reach and had to be pasted your steak/lobster when you wanted. We also arrived at 1700 and they were fully out of steak. It just wasn’t what we expected. We travelled here for a holiday and had one night to go out and it feel a bit wasted.More
RESTAURANT - NEWCASTLE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Situated downstairs in Fenwick you will find Porterhouse. They have a vast selection of fresh fish and meats to choose from. We had the prawn and smoked salmon cocktail, followed with a steak to share. The food was excellent and the...service was very good too. I have been told they to a very good Sunday lunch.More
A little disappointed. Sunday lunch, beef was of a mediocre quality (thankfully still pink). Vegetables were tasty. 2 of our party ordered from the standard menu which they seemed to enjoy more.
We made a complaint which was dealt with swiftly and efficiently by the...manager however this didn't make up for the frankly inattentive service throughout the rest of lunch. The restaurant wasn't busy so no excuse for poor service.
We have been big fans of both Porterhouse and Saltwater but the increasingly poor service is now off putting.More
Spotted this place when shopping on Christmas Eve but it was jammers: the food looked great. So we booked for Boxing Day, and were not disappointed. Great quality steak perfectly cooked, fantastic steak pie, and delicious fish soup. Attentive and professional service. Not the cheapest...but great value for money in terms of quality and quantity. Will be back.More
We had a very tasty lunch here while Christmas shopping on a busy November Saturday. My husband had the Rump and I had the Fillet Mignonette we had Thick cur chips, steamed greens and peppercorn sauce with it and everything was cooked to perfection and...tasted great. Service was spot on and we had a couple of glasses of the house red which was also very palatable.More
A friend and I had lunch here and ordered the ceaser salad with prawns. The salad was covered in a dressing and totally overpowered the salad. We mentioned it to the deputy manager who said in these exact words “well next time you order it...I suggest you ask for the dressing on the side”. Totally unconcerned my friend could not eat it due to this.
Very very disappointing attitude from the deputy manager. There are plenty of other places to eat in Newcastle and in fact within Fenwicks itself. I watch with interest to see if they respond to this review.More
