What a wonderful little place! It's amazing how the owners make such a small place so relaxed and comfortable. The matcha latte, cakes and mains are brilliant & there are lots and lots of veggie/vegan options. Keep it up!

My favourites here are Carrot and Chocolate Raspberry Cake, and Egg Royale. Never disappointed. Plus the cozy, peaceful and clam atmosphere that positively encourage me to focus on my study. Furthermore, there are so many vegan foods for vegetarian people as well. In terms of the service, the staffs here are politely nice and friendly. For this reason, I put... More

I was looking for a nice independant coffee shop for cake and a coffee on a cold winter's afternoon. We received a very pleasant welcome and liked the decor. However, the coffee was just 'ok' and the cake (chocolate and raspberry) was very stodgy and overly sweet. So much so, I even left some. Service was slow which is fine,... More

I've had a very good eggs benedict here before but this time did not have a good trip. I had a nice flat white but a terrible carrot cake. It was totally uncooked in the middle and under the icing on the top. The outside was quite tasteless too, but maybe this was affected by the overly stodgy centre that... More

Beautiful interior, good prices and amazing staff. Only ordered a green tea but the experience was bliss. Staff were extremely pleasant and talkative, music was great. I'd definitely return with friends too and try their amazing menu.

On one hand this little cafe has plenty of charm is an antidote to some of the more pretentious or over-styled places to eat. The food is freshly cooked so it wasn't super quick to arrive on our table but that's fine - when it arrived the halloumi was hot as it should be. Mushrooms were lovely. The juices were... More

Visited 29th December with my daughter, a recent Vegan convert, so she could eat somewhere with a bit of choice. The place is cool, cosy and welcoming, with a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The young man front of house was helpful and pleasant. I guess the warning sign was that whenever he appeared, he seemed to be apologising to someone for... More

Visited on 13 November 2016 and can only describe the food and it availability as horrendous. No soup of the day. Three bean chilli as ordered was. Tin of tomatoes, three beans probably from Lidl I and a chilli. Price of this exhorbitantand unacceptable. Please do not use this disgusting establishment. Can I say the staff were ok and I... More

We have visited several times since the change of name from Scrumpy Willow and Singing Kettle to Sweet Memories at Study Cafe! We totally enjoyed the all day breakfast selection in the menu especially Eggy bread & bacon and Vegan breakfast (that's all we've tried so far), afternoon tea (everything on the plate is good) and the daily special (Thai... I recently ate at the Scrumpy Willow, the first time in many years, as I now live in London. I had the dhal in a pitta with salad, which was delicious and reasonably priced. However the food was very slow to arrive, as was my partner's. We were both hungry, and this may have made the time seem longer; the... More
