We arrived at around 10am and were lucky to get a table - by the time we left an hour or so later people were literally queuing out the door so it definitely pays to turn up early! The breakfast / brunch menu is extensive with everything from healthy granola options through to a full fry up, with instagram worthy... More

I love Quay Ingredient! We did a google search for dog friendly places to eat ahead of a recent visit to Newcastle and Quay Ingredient came up. After a quick look at their website, I discovered that they also offered a wide range of gluten free options for me to enjoy. So much to love about this place. They serve... More

Went here for late breakfast, wasn't too hungry so chose granola with berry compote - was nice enough. And a loose leaf tea - didn't have my choice and had to reorder an alternative, My friend had a full English and latte. Arrived very quick, the mushrooms came with garlic butter- which looked odd mixing with the beans, but his... More

I was in the area and fancied breakfast, a cheap fry up in Wetherspoons was the original plan. I'm so pleased I picked here instead. I opted for a full english breakfast made gluten free. It was absolutely delicious, very generous portions too. It was washed down with a very good cafe latte. Such a relaxing place for a bite... More

Really enjoyed my visit to quay ingredient. Had a little wait for a table, it is very small but a queue at the door is always a good sign! Sat down at the bar whilst waiting to be seated, ordered there so that when a table did come free we were served our food almost immediately. Staff are really friendly... More

After a long day of walking around the beautiful city of Newcastle we stopped in this highly rated cafe down on Quayside. It was a very nice place with great service. There was a lot to choose from. I had the London Fog which was incredible! My girlfriend also has the Vietnamese coffee, less impressive unfortunately which was a shame.... More

The words should always prevail. Go with your gut and to tell you the truth I was ready to walk soon as I was advised the 2nd thing I asked for on the menu was not available. I asked for a Machiatto. Not available apparently. No reason why. Despite being online menu and visible menu in front of me. I... More

Popped in to Quay Ingredient today for a quick breakfast with my Mam. The food was excellent, lots of selection (too much to choose from!). I went with Brioche French toast with bacon and Maple syrup. It was by far the best I've had yet....dare I say better than some in NYC! Mam went for Eggs Benedict which she absolutely... More

Lovely little cafe serving excellant breakfasts, freshly cooked, very tasty and good value. Nice relaxed atmosphere, even though it was very busy. Possibly a little small/cramped when it gets busy, but the food is great

We were recommended to Quay Ingredient by our hotel receptionist and it was brilliant. Tiny cafe with a handful of tables we would probably have walked past it. All the food is freshly cooked to order. The Eggs Benedict with bacon was superb and excellent value, and the service was very friendly.
