Came here for the first time and had such a wonderful stay and meal in the restaurant. The restaurant itself was lovely, and the view sitting next to the windows was fantastic. The service we received from our waitress Tessa was excellent. She was very bubbly and friendly and made us feel very comfortable. She also recommended the chateaubriand which... More

Four of us used Living Social vouchers for a 2 course meal and a glass of wine each!! We always like to eat early afternoon so went along for 2.30pm. The surroundings are lovely, and in a good position on the Quayside. The meal was lovely, well presented and very tasty. All of us agreed on this. We two ladies... More

The restaurant is nice, well made simple brasserie food. It's not amazing, or where you'd go for a 'best' meal in Newcastle, but it is good. The cocktail, wines and beer selections at the bar are great, but as a woman, I always feel very uncomfortable with the fashion shows they always seem to be showing on the screens, which... More

Stopped off in here for a drink before we headed into the restaurant. Good range of drinks and we managed to arrive to hit the Friday night special deal which is great value. Staff were very helpful and took our order at the bar and then brought our drinks to our table with a nice mix of nuts and nibbles.... More

Ate here twice during a recent visit. As with all Mals the food is local and very well prepared. Good choices, and a lovely atmosphere and location., Staff also very friendly.

Shared a fabulous afternoon tea with my daughter in law and 2 grandchildren. Freshly prepared for us with a great choice of Faye. The service was excellent. Plenty left over to take home! Looking forward to visiting again.

We visited here last week after a concert at the sage.We had a few cocktails before venturing further into the Centre of town. Waitstaff were very good and made up some really nice drinks,we were planning to have one quick drink but the lure of the cocktails made us stay longer than planned........

First of all the staff are excellent really helpful couldn't do enough for you. We went for a family meal at Malmaison last night. Drinks you couldn't get a pint in the bar they only did half's (£3) or schooners (£4) . Presseco was £8 a glass. The meal, you don't get free bread so £4 for a side order.... More
