Lovely meal..plenty of choice from a varied menu for vegetarian and meat eaters alike! New lentil and bean chilli absolutely delicious and puddings from the Xmas menu were very tasty, particularly the cinnamon pavlova! Generous portions and friendly staff. Have been here before and will be going again!

Excellent food, eaten there loads of times, good choice of beers and larges usually one guest ale. Some nice walks around the canals and through Haye Wood and Baddesley so try to make this pub a nice halfway stop. Especially good on cold winter days as it's quite snug. Need to book at popular times for food as they can... More

Quite a few years since we last visited. Dog walk first then into the pub for Sunday lunch. Real buzzy atmosphere, dog water bowls outside the conservatory doors and dog biscuits by the entrance. Obviously dogs not allowed in the restaurant side of the pub. The fellows had starters, mains and sweet and the ladies had mains and sweets. All... More

About 50 years ago, my husband used to live in the cottage opposite what is now called the Tom O' The Wood (used to be the Old New Inn) before we emigrated to Australia. It was lovely to return to our old haunts and see the substantial changes made to this interesting pub. We sat by the fire, enjoyed drinks... More

Called in without a reservation, Staff were very accommodating and helpful as I has my disabled Mum with me. We only had the Linguine starter and a special ribs and homemade coleslaw it was freshly cooked and delicious. Will definitely return probably next week!!!

After not been here for a long time I was pleasantly surprised at the warm welcome from staff and management we received. Enjoyed a lovely light lunch from the snack menu with a side whilst my friend had the ploughman basket. Lovely atmosphere, nice food and a pleasant afternoon. I do think the food is a bit pricey however appears... More

Visited here on our way home from Stratford upon Avon, very thankfully fitted us in. We both had the roast beef dinners, Yorkshire puddings were some of the nicest I've ever tasted and the beef melted in our mouths. However the vegetables, which I think can make or break a Sunday roast, were not seasonal - I need cauliflower and/or... More
