We found the steak a bit overpriced for the very small portions. The quality is ok, but that's it. There were still some chewy pieces here and there and that is not very good, considering that the fillet steak is so small. The side dishes let the whole experience even more down, as we ordered spinach which was obviously not... More

We visited as a party of 23 for a birthday celebration. Steak was not cooked as requested by five in our group, some over cooked and tough. The staff were excellent and the ambience very nice. We will not return. Given the price of the food, it was below the standard we would expect for this establishment. The portions of... More

A group of us ate here last night, the staff are very professional who acknowledged us on arrival. Two on our table had the Aberdeen Angus steak which was un edible very chewy and very disappointing, it was not the chefs fault, I had the lamb which was lovely and the rest of the group were very happy with their... visited andersons on sat from a recommendation from a friend, as we were looking for more of a restaurant than a pub that serves food. We were not disappointed. They were very accommodating if you needed to slightly change something on your chosen menu or if you wanted a starter choice but as a main course. It was not a... More

Food was average and slightly overpriced in terms of quality. The restaurant has a good ambiance but needs to improve the quality of food.

Fantastic restaurant and had to live up to high expectations from our first experience. The pork belly starter was exquisite, with the meat melting in the mouth and sweet chillie sauce giving an excellent balance. My husband had the T Bone and I had the ribeye, both cooked to perfection and the home made chips were fluffy, cooked beautifully and complimented... More

Another wonderful meal at Andersons. Beautiful bottle of reasonably priced wine washed down our tasty starters and mains. Still unrivalled as our favourite restaurant!

Really superb atmosphere, brilliant food, and staff were just fantastic. Thoroughly recommended. Surf and Turf was to die for, and the Devilled Kidneys were quite simply off the scale. Our new favourite!

Faultless service, food quality was very high, great atmosphere, good drinks choices and staff bought out a 'happy birthday' dessert plate - which was not expected

Situated on St Pauls Church square, Andersons Bar and Grill is found in the interesting surroundings of former 18th century cellars. However this restaurant is as far from a dingy basement bar as it is possible to be lush, sophisticated dcor brings light and space to the brick arched room, changing displays of art is displayed on the walls and theres a definite buzz to the atmosphere. With a dedication to providing great value food in a relaxed setting along with top quality service, Andersons Bar and Grill is already making its mark on the local dining scene. The food, sourced locally is of course hearty grill fayre but presented with a touch of class so even old favourites such as Barnsley chop or grilled plaice are actually rather special.
