A welcome return to form is good to report. Service/wine/food and coffee all spot on. Pleasing to see.

The restaurant staff were very welcoming and attentive. We went as a group of 12 for a birthday celebration. The food came out promptly. The mussels to start were well presented. A bit of bread to mop up the sauce would have been a nice...More

Visited as a group of 8 and I was only vegan, who also can’t eat gluten. I wasn’t expecting much of a choice with my difficult eating habits, I had a choice of 3 starters and 3 mains and a choice of desserts, most impressed....More

Visited Anderson's with my friend as a post Christmas treat and we loved it. We both had the rib eye steak, which I can honestly say is probably the best I have tasted. Ample portion sizes and the sides were good too. Will definitely be...More

Met up with friends for a pre-Christmas celebration. We all had such a lovely evening, the food was amazing (including oysters, belly pork, deviled kidneys and duck liver parfait for starters). Two of us had the Dexter steak for our main course which was delicious....More

I've been visiting Anderson's for many many years now, even though this place has changed hands since my last visit the new owners have kept the standard of food right up high. I rarely eat starters as I like to keep space for the important...More

It’s a ‘smart casual’ type of place, but I’m sure jeans are fine. There was a mix of how people were dressed. Enjoy your meal. Can’t wait to go back!

Description
Situated on St Pauls Church square, Andersons Bar and Grill is found in the interesting surroundings of former 18th century cellars. However this restaurant is as far from a dingy basement bar as it is possible to be lush, sophisticated dcor brings light and space to the brick arched room, changing displays of art is displayed on the walls and theres a definite buzz to the atmosphere. With a dedication to providing great value food in a relaxed setting along with top quality service, Andersons Bar and Grill is already making its mark on the local dining scene. The food, sourced locally is of course hearty grill fayre but presented with a touch of class so even old favourites such as Barnsley chop or grilled plaice are actually rather special.
