A proper boozer! This place is great for a lunch time beer and food! However most of the ales are pale! I would love to see a traditional cask ale on tap rather than the yuppie pale ale being served. The food is very generous and every time I've been here I'd been good service. Out the back is a... More

Third visit and 3rd time I've ordered the vegetarian faggots to be told they have none available only today we were told at the point the food should've been served. Can't fault the bar staff though who tried their best to resolve the issue. Ended up with nachos and hand cooked chips. Nachos were nice but the chips were over... More

Hi Jus, Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Very disappointing to read if you've been in a number of times & the dish ordered hasn't been available. I'll seek answers from the chef & kitchen team. We are looking at changing our menu & add more variety on vegetarian & vegan fronts. We've been using our specials alot more... More

On what's possibly the sunniest day of the year we enjoyed drinks in the garden here. There are lovely seating areas with banksy type murals on the walls. The food looked delicious and after the fun and games we had getting a good lunch we wished we'd eaten here!

Went to Lord Clifden with colleagues. We had a couple of drinks and food before going out on Saturday night. The venue was very lively, there was a good crowd and prices were reasonable. I was only disappointed with the attitude of the waitress. I found her behavior rather inappropriate, if not cheeky.

Chris W, Front Office Manager at The Lord Clifden, responded to this review

Thanks for the feedback Y0rds from your visit. Will look at the rotas as to who was on shift & we have staff meeting today so I'll feed this back to the team & look into it for you. Cheers for the review & hope to see you again soon. More

I was really excited to try here after reading such glowing TripAdvisor reviews about the Sunday dinner. Unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. Had the beef Sunday roast, the good parts was the yorkshire pudding and the veg. But the downside was the lack of meat, only a couple of very very thin strips of beef and the fact... More

Hi Ssoph11 Thank you for leaving us a review following your visit to us on Sunday. Obviously, it's also disappointing for us to read these comments & I'll be taking your feedback to our staff meeting this afternoon to discuss with the team. Been here today, what a fab place. Staff excellent behind the bar and serving food. The lady serving food couldn't do enough for us, pub grub at its best. Very busy place at lunchtime. Excellent garden too.

The menu was a classic pub style. I felt like the seating was really limited for the space. But did manage to find a table on a Friday night. Food took a bit longer than expected but was good. Beer garden looked nice, this is definitely a drinkers pub has a great selection on. 2 pints, 2 meals £3

If you haven't been to this pub yet - go now! Great selection of drinks, great staff and great food. Without doubt the best Sunday roast in the world - i'd recommend the pork belly, total heaven!.
