Came in here today like I have done many times ... disappointed all the tables were reserved and it was 2pm never ever seen this in a hungry horse ... surely putting a sign up to say would be better no tables unless booked !! Bad management I say !!

Apart from the screaming kids and children running around, I would say this was a pretty good experience. The food was excellent (as ever!) and the staff were great, always friendly and willing to have a chat. Nothing can be done about the screaming kids unfortunately but the upper end of the pub by the pool table often seems to... More

Family lunch to celebrate my birthday. Booked a table, as usual, so we sat where we wished. Good all round meal, and four happy diners!

Awful food! First we ordered then sat down, to be told what we ordered wasn't available. Then our food came separately but that didn't matter anyway as we're given no cutlery to eat with! Lasagne came out covered in cheese to hide the fact it was burnt. Side order was forgotten about so we then had to ask for that.... More

Went for an evening meal. Great staff good food served quickly. The downside, which is not the fault of the Bull& Anchor, is the noisy customers. I really don't know why people have to shout across the width of a table to hold a conversation. It just falls short of my Fantaubolsa trademark comment. Lord Brian Leathley - Andrew

Food was lovely, excellent service and minimum wait for food which arrived hot. Clean pub generally and even the toilets were clean, which is unusual !

I come to this hungry horse all the time with family and friends, I love the environment and how friendly the staff are. The food here is very good the quantity and quality stops me going anywhere else.

Meal was cold, gravy actually was if it came straight out of the fridge!!!!!!! Attitude of the female member of staff was terrible, food came back ok, but gravy was exactly the same. Very poor.

Staff went out of there way to help decorate the table. Staff came from behind the bar when quiet to get a balloon for my niece even though it was slightly busy with the rugby being on. My whole family felt very welcome and considering it was a busy Saturday night, and we weren't 'regular' customers; we were always given... More

It's definitely worth signing up for emails from here as you generally get some really good offers sent through and no spam. Never had a bad meal here, but have had to wait a long time sometimes. Be warned, if you order starters, your main food order goes into a queue behind EVERY food order placed after you! I once... More
