Called in for drinks. What a disappointing place. Just because its the "oldest pub" in England doesn't mean it has to be as drab and dismal as it is. Range of beers and wines moderate , nowhere nice to sit. Wouldn't go out of your way to visit.

Came here with friends for Sunday dinner, lucky we booked as it was busy even thought we didn't arrive until after 5:30pm. The Sunday roasts are very good and the kids got to eat from the 'normal' kids menu which isn't normally available on a Sunday - big thanks to the the Chef for being so amenable. As pub dinners... Eight of my family had a very enjoyable meal at the Bingley Arms , All the meals came at the same time I had steak and ale pie with veg. The only complaint, is when you order chips you should not get potato wedges. They are not the same. It's a good job the other seven were hungry. Will these... More

Called with friends for afternoon tea. What a lovely old pub and great service. The cakes and scones were home made. Lovely area to sit outside. Very enjoyable.

(i wonder why?) maybe to try hide the spongy texture! Also the edges where rock hard! Trust me! The chips where even worse and had the texture of toe... More

The sandwich 'portion' barely made up a couple of slices of ordinary bread with average fillings. The cakes were a little dry and lacked flavour. The scone was nice - this is the best I can say. Service was ok. Wouldn't repeat as not great value for money nor was the quality up to much. Sorry!
