My family and I were passing this place on a recent trip to Paultons. Great place. Very accommodating and helpful staff, great food as well. My only criticism would be the mash served with my children’s sausage and mash was a little salty. Everything else,...More

The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, with candles burning and back ground music. The staff are very unobtrusive but pleasant. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Will definitely return!

First evening of our England visit and we couldn't have picked a better place for dinner. Great food, great beer, good service, nice atmosphere... what is there not to like?

The Woodford Valley is worth a visit on its own (thatched cottages a plenty) but another reason would be the Wheatsheaf Pub. We stopped for an unplanned early tea on a Friday afternoon and although the place was super quiet all the tables had reserved...More

We went here twice over the summer. Once for lunch, which was ok. It has an average and ordinary pub grub menu. We both had the pie with an embarrassingly large serving of steamed vegetables. The second time, we stopped for a few drinks with...More

We went last Sunday afternoon - quite late for a Sunday and was delighted to find they serve all day. We had a nice table in the library area and enjoyed a good, honest, Sunday dinner. The young man serving us was particularly pleasant and...More

The food is good here. They offer the classics, but also some more contemporary dishes. The staff are great. It is good value for money and offers a good ambience.
