I have been to this pub restaurant several times before & NEVER been disappointed at all!!! Today when booking a table for one in a nice 👍 enclosed space wth a window behind me & not in a crowded area, which is NOT good for me as I have Asperger syndrome!!! Because of this, I requested that the music 🎶... More

I have used this pub/restaurant for a number of years and never had a bad meal. This time was different. I went with a group of friends and two out of the four meals were very disappointing. I ordered the pan fried duck which was so tough I couldn't even cut it never mind chew it so I gave up.... More

Have used this pub for many years with my small group of friends and have always had good service and great food at a reasonable price. Our visit yesterday evening though was not up to scratch, out of the 4 meals we chose only 2 of them were up to the usual standard which were the Steak & Ale Pie... More

Popped in for Lunch on the way to Waitrose Salisbury....I know living the dream ! Arrived at 2:30 pm we got a good welcome and were allowed to take the dogs in to the bar area, staff were very friendly and were straight over to ask if the dogs wanted a bowl of water. As we only wanted a light... More

Called for lunch en route to see the snowdrops at Heale House Garden which is nearby - unfortunately the snowdrop trails are not being held this year. We parked easily at the front of the pub, not realising that there is a huge car park at the rear which was absolutley full. A private function was in progress and the... More

Late Sunday afternoon catch up with a few friends, 7 of us with a variety of menu choices. Even though the pub at this time was quiet , we did have a long wait for our food but when it did arrive it was hot and tasty. The staff were courteous and helpful. This is good solid pub food with... More

We stayed in a wonderful cottage right opposite the Wheatsheaf and were delighted to find we only had to cross the road to have dinner there. Staff were welcoming, professional and efficient and the food was very good. The restaurant was warm and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the meals we had. One of our group needed a taxi and... .......maybe we were just unlucky. Very busy Sunday (late) lunch, great to find somewhere that serves food all day. Dog friendly which is always a good sign. Staff seemed rushed off their feet but remained friendly and helpful. I had the garlic mushrooms which were lovely but lukewarm, my companion had the pork chop board special which was charred to... Although it may look small from the outside, this pub is spacious, warm and cosy inside. There is a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff to top it off. The food itself I would say is average but reasonably priced and a nice selection of dishes. Lovely pub for locals and can't wait to pop back for a drink in the... More
