My husband and I visited on a lovely sunny day in April and ate outside by the river, a lovely location but the food was probably the worse we have had. I contacted the chain to let them know how bad our experience was, stating I didn't want any form of money back but thought they should know, no response... More

Lovely venue to take our friends to whilst visiting Salisbury. Right on the river Avon and we had lovely weather. Food was very tasty and plentiful. Our waitress was really polite and friendly and very apologetic when they didn't have double cream to make an Irish coffee, no biggie really. Will recommend to others for a great place to get... Stayed in Salisbury for my first time on a business trip and was very hungry. I decided to stop off at the Boathouse. The stuffed mushrooms resembled a soup and had burnt offerings of previously served food on the edge of the dish and gravy dribbled stains. The mixed grill was so greasy. I cut the steak and grease poured... More

Lovely place nice settings by the river. Polite staff and what we ate was lovely but we were a bit limited as before going there we looked on Google at their menu which stated gluten free bread etc as we are both gluten free that's why we chose to go there especially but when we went to order the girl... Had lunch at the boat house today. Really nice location right on the river, there is also plenty of parking. The service was efficient. The menu is quite limited. The food was average nothing to get excited about. The portion size was good, which does make it good value for money.

Took my girlfriend here for a meal, although the service was quick. The food was definitely frozen Iceland nonsense. The calamari (pictured here) was the worst. All in all, pretty good service. Bad food

My partner and I took a stroll into town, for lunch, our route takes us passed the Boat House, we had heard from family the Sunday lunches were good. So we decided to give it a go. We have had the tapas before on a few occasions and have not been disappointed so decided to try something more traditional. We... More

Having recently visited Salisbury for the Christmas Market we had noticed The Boathouse when we met our coach in the car park, so when we arrived for a short comfort stop adjacent to the restaurant we headed straight in, as it was a very cold foggy day. Access was difficult for one of our guests but the staff were very... More

My daughter-in-law booked a meal for four of us for 6.00 pm.on the Tuesday before Christmas. She was told they had a party coming that evening but that was upstairs. She asked if that would affect our meal and was assured that it would not. The restaurant looked pleasant, the waitress was polite and we ordered our meals, having drinks... More

We decided to take my mother-in-law for a pre-Christmas meal. We were happy with the location and online menu of The Boat House in Salisbury. When we rang to book a table we were told that the restaurant was not busy that evening but there was a party booked for the room upstairs, although we were assured that this party... More
