Situated only 100 metres from Salisbury Cathedral, Cowardine's is the place I visited on a stop-off as I drove to Somerset. The cafe is on the corner of Bridge Street & Silver Street. It is bright and spotlessly clean. The high ceiling gives a good sense of space, making the cafe very comfortable. I had a traditional English breakfast, my... More

We had a great breakfast in that cafe yesterday on the way to Bath. Great English breakfast... sausage especially us worth mentioning as it was yummy. The service is great and the manager is nice and helpful. The portions are reasonable for the prices .... the coffee was also good. All in all a nice place !

Had breakfast at the weekend, sat outside and the views of the church were lovely (shame about the bins in the foreground but they weren't selling the view!) The food and drinks were of good quality and fairly priced, the service was fantastic.

We needed lunch and dinner would not be before 20.00 so spotting this place as we returned to the car park following our first visit to Salisbury was opportune. The menu indicated it was a no frills eatery and so it proved. Fish, chips and peas with a pot of tea for two. Served promptly and cheerfully and good value... More

We really enjoyed our visit to this cafe. The food is of really good quality for such a reasonable price (fiver for a big sandwich that comes with really nice chips too!) is presented well and tasted lovely. We both had a triple Decker sandwich, one with steak and one cheese and onion. A really satisfying and enjoyable lunch. The... More

A very inviting looking cafe my partner and I stopped here for a quick, (or so we thought), lunch. We waited over 50 minutes for the most basic of Sandwiches made on cheap bread and filled with cheap sandwich filler, similar to one you'd find in a supermarket. We would have been disappointed even if we hadn't waited nearly an... More

Nice finding while looking for a place to lunch in Salisbury, welcoming staff in a cosy place, with nice environment inside, but the quality of the food could be a bit better for the price you pay. Sometimes little details would go a long way. But overall it's a good stop to grab a bite or a drink.

Very attentive service and convenient location. The menu is pretty standard for a cafe , nothing fancy . Good place for a breakfast but I would not got here for a lunch, there are more suitable places to have lunch in the area.Advise to management - don't try to save on little things like using a cheapest white bread for...
