After a busy day at Legoland, we found the Alma on trip advisor. What a great find - weather was sunnny so we sat in the beer garden. Food was freshly cooked to order, and of high quality. Kids had chicken nuggets and a burger; nuggets were chicken fillet in a light crispy breadcrumb, and burger home made and perfectly... More

I went to the alma with a large group of friends the other Sunday while the weather was hot and the garden was so lovely to sit in we ended up being there majority of the day! I’m not from Windsor but I am quite familiar with the area as I have a few friends that live there and couldn’t believe this was the first time they had taken me to The Alma. We originally went for the roast that they always boast about but just missed the cut off at 5pm. The atmosphere and service is... More

Me and my boyfriend came for the roast on Sunday during bank holiday and I can honestly say it was the best roast I have had in Windsor! I am a vegetarian and really struggle finding a decent vegetarian roast but Maya was very helpful with recommending alternative options as well. My boyfriend also loved his large lamb roast, and... We took the family there for Sunday lunch and shared the "Barney Board". Plenty of meat, loads of vegetables, plenty of Yorkshire puddings and gravy. The food was served on piping hot plates. We struggled to finish it and had to take the leftovers home. We followed the roast with our favorite sticky toffeee pudding - yum! The service is... More

I've eaten here a number of times and always enjoyed myself. They do decent pub grub at fair prices with generous portions. I recently went for the vegetarian roast which had homemade veggie sausages - made out of mash potato, leak and cream - and all the trimmings. It was delicious. I've previously had the Cajun chicken burger and nachos... More

Description
You'll find The Alma just 5 minutes walk from Windsor town centre tucked away on a charming Victorian red brick terraced lined street. We are a traditional English pub serving a range of beers, ales, fine wines and great food....The size of our portions are legendary. We also have the largest beer garden in Windsor, great for those hot summer days and evenings, should we see them! We are conveniently located for Heathrow, the M4 and the M25. The Alma is full of antiques and collectable's including: furniture, paintings, pictures, mirrors, ceramics and interesting knick-knacks We also have a collection of rare film posters and are constantly adding interesting and unusual items to The Alma. It's like pubs used to be and, in our opinion, should be.
