I visited this pub yesterday, with my son daughter in law and two small boys. We enjoyed a brilliant carvery Sunday roast, it was amazing! Well worth a visit. Meat extremely tender, beautiful roast potatoes, a plentiful supply of freshly cooked veg, sauces in abundance. Great service. Delicious sweets! Will definitely return. Very welcoming with a great atmosphere. Child friendly... More

This is a very handy pub, especially for a large group because the menu is extensive with something to suit just about everyone. Despite the large choice of food, it is all freshly cooked with very generous portions. There are always interesting choices on the specials board and most week nights have offers (e.g. sizzler night, curry night, fish night... More

What a great little pub this is just wish it was closer to home. The staff are probably the best asset as they were really attentive, the food was great and the place was clean. Lovely place to go for a Sunday lunch.

It was our first time at this pub and the food was excellent and there was plenty of it. We went on a Monday evening so the restaurant was quiet, the place is very traditional inside and the pictures on the walls tell you all about its history. The staff were all very pleasant and nothing was to much trouble.... More

We have called a few times and always enjoyed the food they have quite a varied menu that will please all the only criticism would be the pub could do with a makeover although this should not deter you from visiting it is very friendly and the staff are very attentive give it a try

Decided to drive here for lunch on a Monday. It was quite busy but we were served quickly and ordered. Service was good and the food delicious. Definitely a good choice and great value for money...beware the baguettes are huge!!

It was my first visit to this pub and glad we went. The food was lovely, we had a carvery, the meat was cooked beautifully and was lovely and tender and you got a lovely range of vegetables. After the carvery we did have a pudding, I had there banoffee pie and my partner had the lemon crunch ( lemon... More

The staff were very pleasant but the food is very plain. The pubs locals make you feel unwelcome with the constant bad language and racist comments became quite boring after a while. Pay more and go somewhere nice! Shame really as the bar staff were very nice

A "spur of the moment" decision to eat out ended in disappointment. My wife and I decided to travel to this pub, and ordered drinks before deciding on wether to have a carvery or something from the menu. My wife had a soda and lime while my choice was a pint of "Pig's Ear" a cask ale brewed in south... More

Good old country pub with a lovely garden, great food and good ale. Serves a smashing carvery and you can pre book your table as can get VERY busy! In need of decoration, but you see past that when met with the friendly faces of the staff. Quiz every other Thursday which is excellent and they have a pool table... More
