Spur of the moment decision to have a Saturday Carvery. Arrived 1.30. Quite busy but found a table easily. Polite friendly barman. Beautiful carvery served by lovely chef. Loads of choice. Melt in the mouth beef and turkey . Roast potatoes were the best ever. Hot vegetables being topped up, so very fresh. Altogether a gorgeous meal. I would recommend... More

Carvery is of the "let's see how much I can get on my plate" variety. Quality is not in their book. Lasagna with green leaves was served as lasagna with chips. Very cheap but that is the only good thing about it.

Typical pub carvery and as long as you don't go on a Sunday the prices are very good. On Sundays & Bank Holidays they put the price up.

Visited for the first time this week, the carvery had plenty to offer but wasn't quite as warm as it could have been. Having asked about the children's play barn fee I was told not to worry about paying (my 2 yr old was the only one inside) which I thought was very kind. Having eaten our food we took... More

Thank you so much for writing such a comprehensive review for us. Your kind comments are vastly appreciated. With regards to the temperature of the Carvery we are aware some people do like it piping hot so on the deck by the sauces is a small microwave to address this. I do hope we can cater for your children's parties... More

Came for Xmas day. Had been before and had a lovely carvery so thought we'd come again. We certainly weren't disappointed! Fabulous food, meats were so tasty and veggies were great. Excellent selection and great big portions. Staff were attentive and friendly. A really great carvery- highly recommended.
