From the point of booking it was a great, friendly experience. Very helpful and speedy in response to dietary requirements (thank you Ali!) Upon arrival the greeting was warm, and dietary request remembered. The food was superb for every dish and the cocktails just perfect....More

Had a simple lunch of club sandwiches as we were visiting the area. Lovely welcome and great service. Very tasty sandwich quickly served with a smile. Not great parking in Newport Street, someone scraped the back of my car and drove off without leaving a...More

After reading the fantastic reviews we were desperate to try the food here at the Old Rec! From outside the building is historical and inviting, the sort of pub you would love to sit in the corner with a good book and ale, cosy. The...More

Having only moved to Worcester a couple of months ago, we weren’t sure where to go for a good Sunday Lunch. After reading the reviews we decided on the Old Rectifying House and were not disappointed. The food was incredible and the staff were nothing...More

Had a nice meal for my graduation with my boyfriend and parents who were here in England for the first time. We all loved the food and service. My parents want to go there again when they will come for another visit.

Congratulations on graduating and congratulations on choosing us! Be aware; you can always pop-in without your parents if you're now resident in Worcester! Thanks for taking the time to navigate TA to leave a review.

Honestly my favourite place in Worcester! Was there for a graduation meal with my girlfriend and her family. The food was incredible and diverse, the cocktails are sophisticated (which is rare in Worcester) and the service was impeccable as always. It’s a popular location in...More

Well...thanks! Thanks for using the following words: "lounge bar" (because that's how we refer to ourselves) and "cocktails are sophisticated" (because we put a great deal of effort into inventing our drinks). We particularly enjoy customers who make the most of our food and drinks...More

Having lived in Worcester for a number of years I am used to it's little eccentricities. ( The Worcester Way) - however this place has raised the bar. My wife and myself thought we would give it a try for Sunday Lunch after checking reviews...More

With a nice decor, aimed at replicating the style of its tudor-esque building, the Old Rectifying house was definitely worth a visit. With a variety of draught beers, of which I'd heard of only a few, the bar staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about...More

Thanks for writing a review that, almost perfectly, sums-up what we're trying to do here. We are not tied to a brewery so we have the luxury of stocking more interesting beers that we can "revolve" quite regularly. I'm particularly happy to hear that the...More

Thanks for the review. If I'm brutally honest I suppose it's somewhat of a "double edged sword" of a review. I like the fact that you've titled it "Good Pub Grub" and that you mention that we get very busy (that's always a good sign...More

Description
Our food has seen us entered into The Michelin Guide and we like to think we've got the most imaginative food in the area. We cater to all appetites from a light snack through to a la carte and offer a tremendous drinks range. We have a lovely garden, separate cocktail bar and are tremendously kid-friendly also. We're an informal bunch so please don't stand on ceremony if you visit!
