Called in for an evening meal on a busy Friday in April. Despite being busy we got a table straight away and were served fairly quickly. We had the bread board and olives for a starter which was very nice, could have done with a greater selection of oils for the price but still not too shabby. For mains my... More

The cafe is in a lovely location opposite the beach! Although we had taken a packed lunch as they don't accept pups, we couldn't resist calling in for a take away cake. The chocolate orange cake is to die for! I loved looking at the gifts and greetings cards for sale too! The place was bustling and the food looked... More

Squeezed us in without a booking on Easter Sunday! We had the burger and the steak pie, both really tasty. Overall the staff were really nice but perhaps could have been a little more attentive - however it was very busy and probably the end of a manic day! Finished our drinks off watching the sunset over the bay, snuggled... More

We had a late breakfast here and it was nice. Sleepy bay location, cute little cafe with friendly staff. I had the full Welsh breakfast which was nice, and my wife the bacon and egg sandwich which was also pretty good. Coffee was a bit burnt but I was happy enough with it

Stopped for lunch with my daughter during her Easter holidays from school. It was a sunny day and busy, people were sat outside and no tables left inside bar the one we managed to grab. I ordered a prawn sandwich and coffee whilst my daughter just wanted some chips therefore we didn't have to wait too long but service wasn't... More

Stopped for lunch with my parents. Great sandwiches, Dad had Chowder, All had wine and then one pudding. OK proces - service prompt (waitress seemed nervous and needs to smile more :-)) but a great spot to enjoy an hour or two.

My previous visit to The Old Boat House was very disappointing and as a result I left an unfavourable review on this site. We returned again last weekend and I am delighted to say that we had a fantastic time. Excellent service and superb food. The Chowder was 1st class, your Chef did you proud! Will definitely be returning 😀
