This was the fourth time we've dined at the Ty Gwyn - always taken as a reward after a day in the mountains . As usual the meal did not disappoint- everything was cooked, presented and served to a very high standard- a great meal after a great day in Snowdonia

Glad we stayed 2 nights as the experience was one never to be repeated given the history and charm of this interesting B&B...built around 1636 as a coach stop/"house"? We recommend dining in (& booking) especially on the first night as the street lighting nearby isn't v good + it's on a main road + quite a walk to the... More

We ate here in July and again in October and were not disappointed. The place is full of character with a comprehensive and interesting menu with lots of fresh seafood choices mixed in with traditional options. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Even on a Tuesday evening in October the restaurant was fully booked with locals and... More

Went with friends on a Saturday night, pre booked. Restaurant not too busy. Friendly attentive staff. Very large selection on the menu to suit all tastes, several meat and fish dishes. Good sized portions, very tasty at reasonable prices. Tables were a bit wobbly, but did not detract from the evening. Worth returning to.

We tried to book 25 and 26 Oct - already full! We called in person and happily at the same time there was a cancellation. Parking is fine if you cannot find a space by the hotel itself: just over the road there is plenty of room off the A470 going south. Food is good value for money. Mussels as... More

We turned up without a booking and even though the restaurant was busy, a table was found for us. The food was absolutely delicious - we both chose vegetarian dishes and loved every mouthful. The service was outstanding and we are going back tonight for second helpings.

We were a party of six and we each had a delicious meal; ordering fish and meat dishes - all were excellent. Those who could squeeze in a dessert thoroughly enjoyed them - sorbet and chocolate delice. Great service too. We have been here many times and have enjoyed dinner on every occasion.

The Ty Gwyn has a lovely atmosphere, caring staff and spectacular food. I have no idea how they keep so many delights on the menu, but the choice is fantastic. The quality is better than anyone else in Betws, and no scary bill at the end. Seems to be run by people who genuinely care about providing a lovely evening... More
