great food and very reasonably priced. A good idea to book Friday or Saturday night. Friendly staff and extensive menu choices.

We decided to treat ourselves on the last night of our holiday and opted for Rajpoot because, being vegetarians, Indian restaurants are the best bet.It was early in the evening (about 6pm) but there was no atmosphere. This didn't bother us too much (should've listened to our 6th sense) so we sat & ordered. Poppadoms & chutney were Ok (but... More

The inhabitants of Brecon are indeed blessed with a range of cuisines to choose from and this Indian restaurant is one of those where service and delicious food arrive hot, well-cooked and efficiently even on a very busy Saturday night. I had a very good Chicken Chatt (new to me) that wetted the appetite for a main dish of very... More

Clearly some previous reviewers have had a bad time here. All I can say is that our experience was quite different. Walking round Brecon looking for something to eat, nothing seemed very attractive and somehow we found ourselves in the Rajpoot. After a friendly welcome we had a tasty and well priced meal with sensible sized portions. So we went... More

Didn't realise till next day hygiene rating not acceptable at 1star, which means needs urgent improvement, no wonder all 4 of us had bad stomach next day, we should not be using restaurants with less than a 5 star hygiene rating. We have learned a valuable lesson to check ratings before we eat out again!

Can be a long wait if they are busy - but they will usually let you know. Good food, competative pricing. Our local takeaway of choice.

Holidaying in Breacon with another couple, we fancied a curry and thought we would try the Rajpoot. Big mistake! We ordered some drinks and poppadoms then we waited, and we waited. - an hour went by and we had to ask for them to clear the table, more drinks and what had happened to our dinner. It wasn't busy. There... More

They only had one bottle of white wine in the place because they had been busy the week before! The food wasn't great and it was easy to understand why there was only one other couple eating and I know they weren't local because they were in our b&b - would be very surprised if the locals use this place.
