We could not believe Pillar's street noticeboard was advertising 5 or 7 breakfast choices for just under £5....seemed too good to be true until we descended the two flights of stairs [ were afraid the restaurant would be dark but no ...light airy and clean ] ....and yes all you could wish for from a tremendous variety of breakfast choices... The restaurant is in the middle of Cardiff and is accessed down stairs from the Main Street. It has a great atmosphere and the staff are always very professional. The food is served to you almost in a buffet style behind a glass counter. The seating area seems to go on and on but is presented very well and is... More

Ok it`stuck in another era, but the food is very good, the staff are very efficient and friendly, and the place is spotless, prices are very reasonable...after spending over £20 for 2 breakfasts yesterday this was a lovely breakfast for 2 only costing £8-40 and the coffee was an Italian brand, so if you want value for money then this is... Went for breakfast there while we were in town shopping. There is a good choice of breakfast items at a reasonable price. You get served quickly and can always get a seat there. The food is always tasty but although it is clean and tidy the decor is a bit dated.

We have always eaten at the sister restaurant the' Louis', until it's closure on Thursday simply because it was waiter service and you could have what I would call proper meat and 2 veg. I'm not saying that they don't have a good variety of meals on offer, they did, if you want everything with chips, but they don't have... More

My wife and I visited for breakfast, after a very-favourable meal here on a previous occasion. I love the layout and the variety of seating options. Despite being "underground" it has an airy, spacious feel to it. The menu is vast, and watching other diners' meals come out, portions seem generous. We only had breakfast, which you can purchase by... More
