Went here and was not disappointed at all! The best cocktail bar in Belfast! The cocktails were about £9 each which is brilliant considering for the same price elsewhere you get far less choice and quality! Very comfy, opulent and relaxing surroundings. Service was excellent! Attentive but not invasive. Absolutely going here again!

I have just been reading the other reviews and am beginning to wonder if I'm reviewing the same hotel! ! Called in on Saturday with my daughter for a couple of cocktails while my husband, son and grandson were at the rugby. Greeted pleasantly enough but that was about it. ...placed our order and waited. .now thank goodness we had... More

We struggled to get a seat for five even though we had just eaten in the restaurant. They wee sadly unable -or unwilling - to reserve a table. The drink menu was extensive and the cocktails enjoyed by all despite. Wing cramped and almost separated

We met up with family for a pre dinnner drink after a day spent in Belfast sight seeing. The hotel didn't disappoint in lavishness and ambiance. The staff were very attentive and re-arranged the tables so that we could all sit together. Drinks were served and then followed with complimentary snacks and water. All in all a pleasant experience after... More

Anytime I have friends visiting Belfast for the first time this is a must. Might be a bit pricy but worth every penny. The decor the service the overall experience. There is nothing to dislike about the merchant. Five stars all day long

Went to the merchant specifically for a cocktail. Made an excellent Bellini and hotel itself is very old with lots of character. Walked through the dining area which was gorgeous. Would definitely recommend a trip to see the building and sample the cocktails
