My sisters and I went to the Merchant for cocktails to celebrate a birthday. We were very diappointed. With poor service, including not clearing away the previous occupants dirty glasses and a peach Bellini that tasted like mushy tinned peaches with no discernable alcohol, for £15, I can safely say we won't be back. Beautiful venue. Disappointing experience.

Perfect place to celebrate my birthday with a few cheeky cocktails. Staff very friendly and know their stuff especially Jack.

I'm a fan of live music and Jazz and this was a great surprise for my birthday. The location is great, and the restaurant is fab. it had a really prohibition, 1930s vibe. The booths are a must to eat in and pay that little extra for. Cocktails were great as was the food and all really reasonably priced. Staff... More

I wanted to eat here because my favorite tv show is filmed here! Let me say, the hotel and restaurant did not disappoint. So beautiful and everyone is so friendly. I was afraid it would be very expensive (but I'm from San Francisco and nothing really shocks me anymore, sadly. Eating in sf is so expensive) so we decided to... More

My daughter had booked this for my birthday on Sunday , Buck's Fizz and a lovely brunch, the staff are the best especially Eve , and the guy playing and singing jazz was good and added to a very relaxed morning , would really recommend this for a lazy Sunday treat.

Me and my partner went here for a few drinks, very pricey but the atmosphere and staff made it so worth it. The night we went here there was beautiful live music which was very tasteful. The bathrooms were very clean as was the bar and restaurant. Cocktails were expensive but very scrummy.

We were here for a night cap after a family dinner. The bar tender was very attentive and made drinks to order based on preferences (although the extensive drinks menu does provide plenty of choice too). Great atmosphere with live music.

This is a really neat jazz bar that's in the Merchant Hotel in Belfast. The band had just set up when we got there. We actually sat over in the bar area, but the music was also being piped through their sound system, so it felt like we were right up next to the stage. They have an extensive cocktail... More

Great cocktails and drinks. V cosy and good service, but not the cheapest. It would be a perfect date place.

Had a few drinks a while back with family, very impressed with the table service and the knowledge of cocktails from the waiter, excellent all round.
