Been awhile since we'd been here...so decided to use it as a Taxi pickup...it's changed...Bad to worse...the bar still looks 1970's...the staff were quite rude...the barman couldn't pull a pint to save his life...won't be going back....there seems to be a bad atmosphere...

Had a meal on Sunday night from the Mothers day menu. Our starters were delicious. Mushroom tartlets were amazing. So light and tasty. We both had sirloin steaks, £5.00 extra but really worth it . Beautiful steaks. Cooked to perfection. Nicest steak we've had in a long time. Compliments to the chef!!! Seen in reception that there's a steak night... More

The Sunday lunch in here is very mediocre. Dry overcooked roast beef and soggy vegetables. The starter of seafood chowder was nice but it took ages for it to arrive at out table. The service was very very slow. Overall it was disappointing.

The restaurant is horrific! We ordered BBQ ribs to share as a starter and only got one plate and one fork and knife. The ribs were still Frozen when we got them. We could barely cut in to the meat. The food was so bad we had to leave. That was the first restaurant I have ever walked out from... More

I have been here before for the Sunday carvery and although they have changed to a menu lunch the quality and standard have not suffered. Beautifully cooked beef...so tender. Plenty of fresh vegetable and potatoes, plenty of flavour and leave with a very satisfied feeling. The staff are very friendly and professional. The setting is chic and relaxed. We look... More

Great drinks, great service and great food. We couldn't walk another step and we were delighted to find this restaurant just a block from the botanical garden. Sea bass entree was divine.

Stopped in out of the rain and enjoyed a nice supper about 1pm. On special - roast turkey and ham and it was grand. Nice beers, nice atmosphere, great service. You won't be disappointed. Also - very reasonable prices.

We are regular visitors to Claudines, and up until now have always enjoyed the food and service. However, after today's visit, we were left rather disappointed. Now that they no longer do the carvery on a Sunday (which in itself was disappointing enough) we were offered several options. Neither dish arrived with the roast potatoes mentioned in the menu, and... More

Was attracted by the 2 courses for 2 for £29.95 inc a bottle of house wine but not disappointed. The food was well presented and full of taste. The house rose was beautiful. The music was up to date but not overbearing. We ended up having a dessert as well and another bottle of wine. Thoroughly recommend...
