Visited on valentines day with my daughter who was having Belfast uni interview the next day. Place was packed, atmosphere was fab. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to anyone and if she gets an offer of a place at Belfast will definitely return.

Scallini is a sister restaurant to the larger Villa Italia. Our most recent meal at Scallini was disappointing. Our Caesar salads were made with old, tired lettuce with very little roasted chicken. The Caesar dressing was terrible--they need to find a better recipe. BUT, the honeycomb ice-cream is the best, and made the trip worthwhile!

Booked earlier in the day on a Saturday for a party of 6 and managed to obtain a lovely round table. We hared a variety of starters and the portion size and flavours were excellent. Most of us had various chicken dishes for mains and all were superb. The lamb and salmon dishes were also exquisite. The wine was very... More

We dined here on our first night in Belfast as it was close to our hotel & it started serving evening meals early (we had been up since 4am for our flight to Belfast so wanted to eat early). We arrived around 6pm & we were surprised to see that it was already pretty busy. Fortunately they found us a... More

Everyone was raving about this place and we were a bit confused as to why. The service was great, but the food was super lame. The caesar salad was borderline gross (the dressing was basically mayo). The pasta was okay, but not extraordinary. We really wanted to enjoy our meal but it was pretty mediocre. Prices were reasonable and the... More

Wow...this restaurant is definitely worth a visit! The restaurant is very large but there are several different levels which makes dining feel more intimate. The decor is lovely. You are unable to make a reservation, which might not suit everybody but our party of 4 only had to wait 20 minutes for a table and that was on a Saturday... More

Sometimes you have a craving for a particular dish. My daughter was craving lasagna, so we decided to try an Italian restaurant. Scalini was a great choice. My wife had pizza, which I tried and it was delicious, and my daughter and I had lasagna. Everyone enjoyed their meal immensely. The service was pretty good, and the restaurant surroundings was... The food was great and offered (edible) gluten free options. The service was brilliant and very friendly. It is reasonably priced. The restaurant feels like a slice of Italy in Belfast and I wish I could go back there every week. They gave us free cocktails when we told them it was the last night of our honeymoon. Love, Love,... We made a late booking for a sat night for a party of 16 . We were all impressed with our food . It was a bit slow coming but we were a large party so didn't mind the wait too much. The restaurant has a really great vibe. Good buzzy atmosphere and we all had a really enjoyable night.
