Very small and intimate restaurant. Helpful and friendly staff. When we ordered we were told it would take about 25 minutes for our food to arrive which was totally grand with us. Me and my boyfriend just chatted away, both absolutely starving and staring at plates of food on other tables, just having a good time. A waitress then came... More

All the dishes I had were beautiful. Aesthetically brilliant and simply delicious. I was very impressed. I had the cheese potato and truffle soup with guiness bread, followed by the beef daube, then the chocolate fondant - it was sublime. My only critical point is that empty glasses could have been cleared from our table, as we had a bit... More

Food delicious, explosion of different flavours on one plate. Excellent combination of foods together. Enjoyed immensely. Restaurant is top class, high end, 5 star.

The premises, it has to be said, are a little dull, being a converted shop with a single row of tables down each side of a long, narrow space. The lighting and decor were however pleasant and once seated, the service was prompt and professional, and the food really good. We both went for the suckling pig, which was outstanding... More

We had eaten here before and it was lovely but this recent experience was horrendous. I ordered the roast chicken. It was cold on the inside so I didn't eat it. The only other things on the plate were two sticks of polenta and two broccoli florets, which were raw. My partner had lamb which he specifically asked to be... More

Service was very good- also love that they sell "Jumper" Sauvignon Blanc by the glass. Chowder was wonderful- beautifully presented. Bit disappointed by the langoustine ravioli, but overall a good experience. Very busy at weekends & noisy.

The cheery waitress had a warm greeting and the decor was inviting. The lunch menu had many choices for under or around a tenner. We chose to share the shin beef spring rolls which were generous and simply delicious. My chowder was tasty and faultless. Another 'find' and we will definitely return when next in Newcastle. A new tapas and... More

Made a call that morning for a table for two, staff sorted out a table without problems. Nice greeting by staff, menu also contained an early bird selection. Good selection on both menus with some overlap. Had squid starter which came with a salad and trimmings. Excellent. Staff took note of allergies and checked all meals were acceptable for special... Went for a meal with my wife and we were both very impressed. The decor was contemporary and very smart and everything including the toilets were very clean and fresh. The service was excellent and the staff were very attentive. We both enjoyed everything served to us. My wife had the venison and I had the sirloin rare which were... More
