At £9.99 for fish and chips you would expect that it would be fresh fish, but no... Poor quality frozen fish. Not what I expected.

With close proximity to the A90 Peggy Scott's is an ideal stop off for a break between Dundee and Aberdeen without a major detour. The interior is bright, cheery and clean. Staff are welcoming and attentive, food is excellent and a wide range is provided from home baking, sandwiches to hearty soup and cooked meals . Whether for a coffee... More

On our way back home we find that this is an ideal place to break our journey. We only had coffee and scones but what we had was fine. The little shop is handy to get some bits and pieces.

This is a large, bright and airy restaurant on the A90 at Finavon near Forfar. It serves a fair range of home cooked meals and also has a large selection of home bakes and cakes also a convenience store and integrated gift shop. I had a "special " of scampi with chips and coleslaw at £8.50- good value and served nice... More

Stopped off on the way up to Aberdeen for a university open day. It had been an early start so we thought we'd stop off for coffee and bacon rolls. We were a bit behind schedule so asked for them to takeaway. The coffee was served in polystyrene cups - I didn't think anyone did that anymore and the coffee... More

Great cafe for a stop on the road north. Good selection of hearty food that appeals to the whole family. Has a shop as well selling all sorts of random things. Not cheap to eat but value for money. Toilets maintained well.

Whilst we have driven past Peggy Scotts on several occasions on our way to Aberdeen so this time we decided to try it out and so glad we did. Whilst we had coffee and home baked cakes they were excellent . This place must be popular as there was always a steady trickle of people queuing for food and drinks.... More

We stopped here on our way to Aberdeen, only because we missed the turn off to Mcdonalds! The first thing we noticed was how extortionate the prices were- £9.99 for chilli in a roadside cafe is ridiculous. We had small portions of fish and chips and macaroni and chips. Both were ok. As someone else said, the fish was just... More
