I stopped by today (3pm) and picked up 4 small cakes from the bakery to take home. After tea, we opened our 'special treat' and discovered they are as hard as a brick. This is a bakery who specialise in fresh cakes? Never going back......More

Although limited in space and part of a bakery this is a good old fashioned tea room that serves petite bridge rolls, sausage rolls, pies, soup, enticing cakes. Cafetière of coffee is a bit overpriced, my only grouch but a good old fashioned pot of...More

My wife and I had lunch here last week. We both enjoyed a large bowl each of hot soup - Chorizo & Chickpea and Lentil served with lovely oatcakes. Soup was £3.95 each. We shared a small cafetiere of coffee and I devoured a Coffee...More

My friend & I often visit for a light lunch. Convenient in the city centre. Staff friendly. Bakery is always very busy. Lovely counter display of cakes.

I used to go here very regularly and get the odd cake for my lunch, but prices and sometimes the sizes don't feel worth the money any more. A lot cheaper to get a few cakes at the supermarket instead.

We have been buying the frozen gateaus for many years, the selection is fantastic as is the quality. Our kids have grown up on these cakes and now expect on any family occasion..."where's the strawberry cake?" If you don't believe me, try it.

Hi Carl. It is a short walk from the port yet still in the city centre. A great place to sample the local culinary delight!

Description
Fisher and Donaldson are Bakeries are very well-known in Scotland for their excellent pastries and cakes. They have a small restaurant in Whitehall Street, where you can order your favourite drink and pastry or cake and read the newspaper. If you have a sweet tooth or love creamy cakes this is the perfect restaurant for you. My favourite is a large hot chocolate and a yummy coffee cream tower. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting Dundee.
