Katie's steaks have always been a highlight of this special, local, corner restaurant, so it's a relief to find that they still are! I miss Katie's salad - now you get a tiny, green salad garnish without any dressing: good but lacking the colour &...More

Celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary here and the staff were wonderful. Lovely atmosphere and great views over the links and of Arthur's seat. The steaks were excellent. I will definitely be returning.

First visit to this friendly local restaurant. One of the best steaks ever. Made a mistake though when I ordered my starter of pakora, I assumed it would come with a tasty spicy sauce ( my fault for not reading the menu properly) but it...More

Having bought Katies Diner in spring 2017 we took the time to get to know the business and its customers. After introducing more dishes, our dining room refurbishment and much discussion, we decided to change the restaurant name to LeftField to reflect our style, and to mark a fresh start for culinary goings on at 12 Barclay Terrace.

We're a tiny restaurant serving the best steaks right on the side of Bruntsfield Links. Our regular menu is short and focuses on simple cooking and delicious flavours. We bring variety into the menu's on our daily boards and these dishes change depending on what's good, and what's inspiring us.

We are fully licensed with a small wine and beer list. We have a range of natural and biodynamic wines which we offer by the glass so you can try new and interesting wines. We plan to change our wine list often, but we will always stock some core favourites that are the perfect match for our steaks.
