Used to use this place alot, but after the worst service I've had in Edinburgh. I vowed never to go back, I never have and in all honesty I'm missing nothing of the place. Heard a rumour it was for sale a while ago, it's obviously never came to anything.

I'm a regular here for breakfast, coffee or lunch. Best bacon rolls ever, fantastic shakes and smoothies and amazing range and quality of sandwich. Friendly staff and full of character.

I've been to Zulu Lounge on multiple occasions now. The food is always excellent, I tend to get the soup and sandwich deal. They have amazing soup, great sandwiches and super friendly staff. I recommend it to anyone wanting a takeaway or a nice sit down.

Come here once every few weeks for a take out lunch or coffee. The coffee is very good. They have a whole range of interesting hot chocolates and syrups too - especially the orange syrup, which is nice in a cappuccino. Great toasted sandwiches too, particularly the sausage focaccia, which is just delicious. Would like it a bit cheaper then... More

I went there today after meaning to go for years! The two ladies working were extremely friendly! it had a really cool, african vibe. Me and my mum both got milkshakes and a boerewor roll which came with some salad... it was delicious!! i highly, highly recommend. Especially if you love south african food! They also mentioned that they sell... More

Apparently the milkshakes are great, however £2 for throwing a tea bag into a mug of hot water is not worth the money in my opinion. Not in this surrounding. Not the best selection of cakes either. Wouldn't bother again if I want a nice cup of tea and a cake.

Thank you for your review, however the tea we sell is £1.50 and not £2 as you have stated. Our cake selection is based on quality not quantity. More

I went here this morning to get a couple of breakfast rolls and coffees. I decided to go for their South African special breakfast roll, which is a South African sausage and eggs. But when I got to my girlfriend's house I opened my sandwich and found that there was no eggs in my roll! I wouldn't normally not complain... More

This little corner of South Africa, in Morningside of all places, is great for a tea/coffee and a home baking treat. It is compact but that adds to its charm. Not my first visit here and will definitely be back whenever I am in the area.

Probably one of the best cafe in Edinburgh, they serve the best mocha I have had and their food is amazing and great value. Great atmosphere. Small place but a lion in the catering industry...highly recommend it

Just popped in this lovely looking cafe for a coffee and a bite to eat. We were welcomed by a lovely lady with a South African accent so straight away I new we were going to get some authentic tastes. I had a buffalo hot chocolate which was to die for. It was more like a desert. I had a... More
