Food was great for the price. Hot, fresh and filling. The delivery was very accommodating. Great cheap mid-week eat.

visited here with kids as passing by, i had the mix kebab meat on the large flat bread. food was good and prices were reasonable. food is served in basic containers after 10 or 10.30 cant remember kind of makes you feel you cant enjoy your meal fully if you want to enjoy your meal.

We come here a couple of times a year and always get the same thing - a large chicken kebab smothered in salad dressing and garlic sauce. Calorific overload but once in a while, so, so worth it. One large kebab is about £8 and worth every penny! There are some seats and tables in here but we always get... More

Staff were literally the rudest people I've ever met and the food was nothing special at all. Can't explain how rude these people are. Almost worth a visit just to witness it. However it'd be a waste of money as the food is below average and there's plenty of other places nearby. Try them instead.

Marmaris is predominantly a carry out with a few tables , we have eaten here both sit in and take away , the food is always cooked fresh and to order , excellent quality , flavoursome and good portions . Staff very friendly. It's always always busy which is a testament on its own . Overall a lovely authentic kebab... More

As I said below, I will adjust my review if this company decides to rectify the situation? Frustrated and annoyed, tried to speak to them a number of times. They denied the reviews on the net were in regards to them on this site, which it seems they are! Actually on seeing these on Trip Advisor, I can see why... More

Popped in to this wee kebab shop in between shows at the Fringe. About 5-10 mins walk from the Pleasance along Clerk St. Quieter than the Fringe eating places. Freshly cooked chicken kebab on skewers was very tasty and the staff were friendly. Worth a visit.

These men are horrible and sexist and homophobic. The food is barely acceptable, the service is horrible, their personalities are subpar. When we expressed our dissatisfaction with this food, the workers called us lesbians. Another customer in the shop then threatened to call the police when we protested this disgusting remark. Eat at Zara's on cowgate instead.

Staying in Southside & Holyrood

Neighbourhood Profile
Southside & Holyrood
Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around university buildings in Southside, the sort of neighbourhood that supports a long string of second-hand shops and eateries serving ethnic food for just a few pounds. In August the student population is replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here for the Fringe, Edinburgh’s world-class comedy and arts festival which headquarters itself here. Flanking Southside are two great parks. The Meadows is a vast flat and sporty space where football, rugby, tennis, cricket, croquet, and golf often all take place side by side. Kids in its big playgrounds add to the joyful noise. Far bigger and much wilder, Holyrood Park extends to the east and provides a real hike up Arthur’s Seat, but the district is best known as the site of Scotland’s Parliament and its premier Royal Palace—and their steady stream of sightseers.
