Popped in for lunch, and first impressions weren't bad. My sister and husband ordered hot dogs and paid £1.50 extra each for onions. I opted for a tuna and cheese sandwich. Oh my word....what a shock when the food arrived. The hot dogs looked very...More

I was by myself and got a single table before the place became packed just a few minutes later. It was my first meal in Scotland and I wanted some local favourites, so I opted for the Haggis, Neets, and Tatties Tower (HNTT) and for...More

Popped in for a few drinks and a bite to eat. A good range of traditional Scottish offerings on the menu. We both had the highlander burger which is basically topped with haggis. OMG...if I could book a flight now and return to have another...More

A real pub with good solid food and friendly folk. Very convenient. A great place for a quick bit that was close to Jury's Inn.

This is a very nice traditional pub with friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks. We decided to try the food and it was excellent. Handy for the Jury's Inn Hotel and Waverley Station. Do pay this establishment a visit.

Very nice place, excellent food and good price. We ordered the steak ale pie and the Cullen skink, great choice. The place has a nice Scottish pub vibe and it is in the town centre.

We were working our way from the bottom of the Royal Mile and were about to go into the Last Drop Inn. I noticed this clean wood, brightly lit bar on the opposite corner of High Street. We went in and it isn’t the biggest....More

I had dinner here with a friend. Although the bar was very busy, the waitress stopped by regularly to see if we needed anything. My tasty fish and chips came wrapped in paper. For dessert, I wanted something I couldn't get at home and so...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
