The coffee here is simply one of the best i have tried in Edinburgh, and I've tried a lot off coffee in the city, also the Irish guy has super customer service skills. Well worth a visit although don't be too surprised if you find it difficult to get a seat, its very popular!

Pros: the coffee is truly special, there is a reason why its closest coffee shop seems to be empty when this place is full and overflowing, the quality of the coffee has set a new level for bruntsfield. The breakfast, although recently raised in price is great. Cant say much more just go and order the project breakfast. Only once... More

Been here on many occasions for a coffee, cake and catch up with friends and never been disappointed. The staff are very pleasant, friendly and welcoming and offer nice touches like warming your scone before serving so it tastes like it's just out of the oven! Decor is relaxed, with an eclectic mix of furniture including a lovely big comfy... More

A great local cafe with a good selection of teas/coffees and food. The portions are very big. We had a soup, chicken sandwich and scone - all were delicious and good value. The layout is a bit higgeldy-piggedly but that probably adds to the laid-back vibe. We had no problem with service - the waitress was very smiley and efficient.

This cafe looked promising from outside, and it's on a great street. We wanted to have breakfast across the street, but it didn't open til 9, so we walked over for a cappuccino and an almond croissant. The first thing we noticed were boxes scattered on the floor as if they were unpacking, and there was no music or ambience.... More

Go often and haven't provided a review before but thought it only fair to give it some credit. The coffees are excellent and the scone are simply the best in town. Cant beat it

Its sad when any business is let down by arrogant staff but alas this is the case here No friendly attitude or customer interaction. On the plus side the coffee is excellent which almost made me forgive the service.Im not keen on the layout of the cafe but that is a matter of individual taste. It was fairly busy when... More

For the amount of staff that where working I was a little surprised how long it took to be acknowledged never mind served. Ordered a brunch sandwich and coffee. Coffee was lovely, sandwich was over priced for what it was. Staff pretty curt when I asked about wifi, it's cool if you don't have it but try be nice about... More

When I went in a couple of weeks ago and asked for gluten free, the response was a blank stare with and staccato verbal's like firing peas off a drum. You would have thought I had asked for something to cure the plague.Tried again today and was meet with the same negative response. Will not be trying again. Lots of... More

This is a brand new, independent coffee shop that has just opened this week (2nd August). I'd like to review it because I thought it was very good.
