We have been dining at Cafe Marlayne for many years, more or less since it's opening, and this restaurant has never disappointed. Marvellous value at lunchtime. Delicious flavours and friendly staff. Service is efficient and the dining room buzzes with the sound of happy diners....More

Fantastic food and reasonably priced, not a massive menu choice but enough for everyone to find something they liked. Would definitely visit again.

Went for a three-course lunch and had the beetroot falafel, gnocchis and chocolate brownie, all were stunningly delicious! Husband had the beef shoulder, which was as yummy. Efficient yet careful service, and very decent prices... I'd definitely go back if I lived in Edinburgh!

Great value lunch on Easter Monday, we had 2 courses each, so 1 starter, 2 mains, and 1 desert. All dishes were beyond our expectations of the £11 for 2 courses set lunch. Top marks for the beef shoulder and the brownie desert. Yum!

Great food, helpful staff, not pretentious in any way. Good value for money, not too many covers therefore it would be wise to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

play. This is the city’s central business district
with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many
of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest
clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street
helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned
Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric
