Woweee... thanks so much for your grading of oor wee pub! Not sure we have the Michelin guide knocking on our door but glad we have ticked your box at least:) Please don't wait for your next anniversary to come back in!
Very tasty food. Varied and interesting menu. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Will go back. Lovely French toast with bacon and maple syrup on the side!
Very tasty review too, thanks:) Please do come back and have a go at the rest of the menu.
We were visiting my sister in Edinburgh when we decided to pop into the Roseleaf for some food. Being a Friday night I expected it to be uncomfortably busy but it was fine and we were seated quickly. The menu isn’t exhaustive but everything sounded...More
Cheers for choosing us and yes even though we can be busy (at times) it most definitely isn't all the time:) Hope to see you back sometime soon to try the rest of the menu and if you know your coming geez a tinkle and...More
Great place, really interesting decor. We walked in without a booking and therefore had to sit at the bar, but this wasn't an issue and worked out nicely. Prices very reasonable, good service and top food. The haggis benedict was superb, a right touch!
Cheers for the cool chat back and hope to see you again soon:) I personally love sitting at the bar too but if you'd prefer a table just call ahead!
First off, let me state that the Roseleaf is absolutely somewhere you should go. However, I have one specific and fundamental bone to pick... We booked a table for a Sunday lunch, mid afternoon time. Arrive, sit down, nice table. First comment from the waitress...More
Hey Will, my only response is the most glaringly obvious one that if you want something, ask for it. If we were to ask every single person who booked on a Sunday if they wanted a roast then it would incur a fair bit of...More
Best breakfast I have had for a good while. Had the big ‘yin and it was heafty but just managed to polish it off before retiring for a snooze. Coffee was lovely and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Yes yes yes! Make sure...More
First ever time here and left content, rather than fully blown away. The place itself is really nice inside and clearly has a very strong local following. It was hard to get a table at 12.30 on a Thursday. Booking is therefore probably advised. The...More
Wouldn't tend to pigeon hole our clientele as hipsters but at times (maybe the time you visited) they can come and enjoy our offering too. All food is freshly prepared and as well sourced as possible so don't focus on pricing alone. Also glad you...More
Visited this place with my friends during our trip to Edinburgh. I had their "leafer" breakfast, it was pretty good and I would recommend it. The coffee was mediocre. If I was nearby this place I would consider it an option.
Okaydokey, thanks for coming in and sorry to hear the coffee was only ok as we do use great beans and aim to hit the caffiene fix where it needs to be hit!!!
After years of reading about the Roseleaf, we finally had the opportunity to visit. It was really great! We had the Souper Soup and it was super, just what we needed on a cold and snowy day. The bar area is decorated with hats of...More
Glad you finally tried us oot and hope to see you as a regular now.
Came here as a family group for Sunday Lunch. Fantastic food, great selection of drinks, super atmosphere and very friendly staff. We will be back!
Thanks for bringing your posse down for Sunday lunch and glad you all enjoyed it too. See you soon :)
