Asked locals where to grab a quick bite to eat and were sent here. We shared a few dishes including the veggie grilled cheese, onion rings, and jack daniels chicken with mixed veggies and mash. The chicken dish was my favorite, on of my favorite...More

I got the Edinburger in glutenfree and it was delicious. The patty was juicy and well sesend, the fries were crunchy and not greasy. I'll come back soon.

Popped in for lunch. Lively atmosphere, good food. Had a chicken burger and nachos between two. Cocktails looked great.

Lively local bar with restaurant on the side. Mussels were to die for. Recommend a reservation so that you can get one of the tables in the restaurant.

Disappointed that they have changed the menu (it used to be a bit different from the big-standard pub grub they now offer), no longer put nice chilled cucumber water on the table (okay, it was a bit pretentious, but it was always a nice touch)...More

Good, unpretentious food. Classics and new fare. Got the fish & chips and bockwurst; both were great. Good beer selection.

21st Century are you're charged to use your card. Very unimpressed. Won't be returning. Everything you buy a round - charge!

that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the

The Villager has been recommended several times on the Ediburgh forum it is a great place for food and drinks. I did visit it during my last visit to Edinburgh and really want to add my review.
