Went to this cafe mid morning for a coffee it was very busy with people wanting your seat just as you got your coffee and standing over you so felt uncomfortable drank up and left.

I had to visit the toilet while I was at Starbucks last week and can only describe them as disgusting. the ladies toilets was out of order so the options were the disabled or the men's. the disabled one was full of toilet paper so was unable to use. We went for a quick cup of coffee and a muffin, my sister bought a regular cup of coffee and I got a cafe latte, the muffin tasted fine, but I didn't like the taste of the latte. The staff was friendly and we were served quickly and efficiently.

Central but with very little seating. Window seats offer a great place to people watch. Good service even though the place is very busy

This 'bucks is usually pretty busy but it wasn't so bad when we popped in on Monday afternoon, plenty of seating available. We were served quickly and efficiently, no complaints at all. Starbucks as it should be. There is plenty of food options available and a good selection of merchandise to purchase. Seating is available at ground level and up... More

This coffee shop stays open until late, so it was really convenient to take a quick bite and coffee before going back to the hotel to retire after a long day touring this beautiful city.

I like this Starbucks and visit it every time I'm in Edinburgh. The staff are on the ball and friendly and my order is always correct.

Good sized coffee shop with all the usual starbucks coffees - my favourite is the filter pike roast Lots of snacks and seating - usually busy but can always get a seat apart from lunchtime. Lots of takeaways

Staying in New Town

Neighbourhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighbourhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
