Our must visit on every Edinburgh trip, as always the staff are polite, helpful and knowledgable never to intrusive but always there when needed. The food is outstanding, we have been coming to this restaurant every 3 months for a good few years and try...More

Unimaginative food that was overpriced, terrible service, no atmosphere. Go somewhere else on Thistle Street and you could have a cheaper and much tastier experience

Enjoyed an unhurried lunch here after a series of client meetings. The quality of the seafood was great (says the Australian) and the wine menu was solid. After 2 hours and one course / wine bottle more than necessary I was disappointed to have to...More

Was recommended this place by someone in the hotel we were staying in, and cannot convey my disappointment enough. Dated, terrible service, mediocre food, completely lacking in personality and a bland wine list. This place is for pensioners only.

Oh yeah, good recommendation from the hotel. Great service, great ambiance, wonderful food / quality / taste. Really a must-experience esp. when you really pay very reasonable for the dinner. Highly recommended for families, too.

We stumbled across this place by chance. Fortunately they had a table. We found the seafood was fantastic, and although it wasn't cheap, it was a fair price for what you got. The wines were also good value. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

Lovely fresh food, nice helpful staff and good atmosphere. Loved sitting on the mezzanine level as this appears more modern in design than the seated area through at the rear. Food was very fresh. Trickiest part is parking but once you've achieved that then this...More

Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town,
