Always wanted to visit. Booked for lunch on Saturday. A rather small restaurant of 20seats. Nice staff- very accommodating and friendly. Start of with an amuse. Had the guinea fowl for starters and the lamb for mains followed by the cheese- all excellent! The paired...More

This was one of the best meals I had in 2017, even though I had a cold. I think it was the owner who was looking after us, a very passionate and knowledgeable man. The food was absolutely lovely and I think it was really...More

Restaurant was quiet when we went in, but soon filled up (booked out). We had the standard 3 course meal, with extra course of cheese. Staff could not have been more helpful and did not rush us at all.

Service, food, presentation, wine... this place has it all. The menu and the venue are small but both perfectly formed, and my partner and I would have no hesitation in rushing back!

Stockbridge & Dean Village
Just downhill of New Town and attractively straddling
a river near the elegant Royal Botanic Garden, it’s
small wonder that Stockbridge became one of the city’s
first hip neighbourhoods. It’s now one of Edinburgh’s
most desirable, though many bohemian touches have
fallen away as its residents have matured and the area
has gentrified. Some second-hand shops cling on, but
mostly residents display refined tastes in basement

Hello due to the premises license children under 6 can’t eat in the restaurant but if they are older they are more than welcome to dine at night.

No, it's in the lower ground floor of a building and has stone steps down to it, which is unfortunate if you are not so able bodied as its a great restaurant.
