Situated in the Quartermile (formerly known as the Old Royal Infirmary Hospital for Edinburgh) Nanyang is one of a number of eateries to choose from. As we were staying quite nearby the proximity of the restaurant after a day of walking around the Old Town...More

Hotel close by and not many options . Pleasant helpful staff . Soft shelled crab really good . Monkfish dish not quite so exciting but all in all a very pleasant dining experience which merited more than a three but less than a four ....More

Tasty food, no complaints but its all sort of brown - the dim sums were a bit clammy but quite tasty. They say its Malaysian cuisine but I'd be pushed to tell it from a Thai restaurant.

Visiting Edinburgh, staying close by & chose Nanyang for its proximity - lucky choice! Not too busy, warm welcome, warm & friendly atmosphere; splendid menu, reasonable selection of drinks, and all four of us agreed that the variety of dishes shared amongst us were all...More

Nice, very light kitchen. Had soup and duck with sides. Also surrounding of the restaurant is one of my favourites place in Edinburgh Worth to try. Want to go back there.

My guess is the place is only good enough for quick food. I don't see it as a place for business discussion. The table for two just enough to put your food and drinks for two. If you order more then just no more space....More

If you like oriental food, you probably won't be disappointed. With a wide range of Malaysian and Chinese dishes on the menu, there is plenty of choice. The night we went there were more clients from the far east than westerners which I think is...More

They are the true definition of don't judge a book by its cover. The food is pale at best, their customer service is absolutely terrible and you're better suited going to the many other Chinese, Japanese, Korean establishments in Edinburgh. They don't seem to have...More

Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around
university buildings in Southside, the sort of

second-hand shops and eateries serving ethnic food for
just a few pounds. In August the student population is
replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here
for the Fringe, Edinburgh’s world-class comedy and
arts festival which headquarters itself here. Flanking
