A One Star Michelin restaurant with obviously fine food and excellent service. The 3 course a la carte menu is $75 and the various tasting menus more. The wines (even by the glass) are comparable. But frankly charging for coffee at the end of the...More

From the moment you walk in, you are impressed by the service here, attentive yet friendly and unobtrusive. An appetiser in the attractive bar was accompanied by rye bread and seaweed crackers and delicious cheese. The set lunch menu offered a good choice and the...More

I’m not a foodie by any means and enjoy the simpler end of the culinary spectrum however I can honestly say that the food and the overall experiance of lunch at the Kitchin was the best dining experience I have encountered. Staff were very attentive...More

Visited the Kitchin in May for my 30th birthday. The food was unbelievably good and the service was brilliant. A very nice relaxed atmosphere for such a quality restaurant. Will 100% be back!

Was in Edinburgh with family for vacation and had dinner at The Kitchin. Was one of best meals we have had in long time. We opted for tasting menu and even my daughters were happy - priceless.... good whisky and wine selections as well.

The atmosphere was elegantly cosy and the light was ideally curbed, and it indeed helped to concentrate on the food. On the other side, the quantity of waiters was a bit annoying, especially when they asked the same questions in the very same phrases, asked...More

The food was superb and we had the paired wines. My only gripe was that the sommelier was not always easy to understand and he took rather a long time to talk through the wines, he was quite theatrical. I also found having a stool...More
